Performer Flying Systems
Track, fixed point and pendulum performer flying systems
For around 70% of our work these days, the standard AFX / Kirby track system is the ideal choice. The performer is able to fly up / down and also across the stage in a very controlled manner. Originally developed many years ago, we have modified and improved the system in various ways. It is quick to install, check and maintain using only a minimal tool kit, lightweight, extremely reliable, quiet, smooth and easy to operate.
A fixed point system can be used when just a straightforward up and down is all that is required and there is no need to track across the stage.
Pendulum flying is not used as widely these days as it once was. Although very simple in principle, when utilised appropriately and operated well it is an extremely versatile system capable of producing some great effects.
Fully automated programmable 3D flying system
After five years of development we can now offer for hire or sale, the world’s safest, most sophisticated and user friendly automated performer flying system.
Consisting of four winches - designed specifically for this application - and a computer control system, it can be used to fly a performer ( or object for example a camera ) in fully 3 dimensions according to a preset flight path or in real time using a joystick. It is possible with this system to precisely repeat even the most complex of sequences.
Custom built rigs for installations or highly specific and unusual flying sequences
Design, manufacture and testing of manual systems can all be carried out in our own workshops which gives us the capability of responding very quickly to the sometimes extraordinary requirements of our clients.
